Below a link to an interesting BBC article by Richard Hamilton about Morocco's past - the issues of poverty and prostitution should not be under-estimated and still need to be addressed with urgency in our times, if not more so. However, there are always two sides to the coin and it takes two to tango, as they say. Nevertheless, per se the 1950s have reflected a very different zeitgeist, much more laid back when reading about the general reality of all those writers who were hanging out in North Africa than what is going on in our current times...
