a group of artists are protesting a week long celebration of tel aviv cinema at the tiff (toronto international film festival).
i personally don't subscribe to the idea of punishing israeli (arab and jewish and of other faiths) artists for the purpose of highlighting the govt of israel's actions. i think that is counterproductive to the art that comes out of israel, some of which have been very critical of israel. we ought to learn to separate israel from jews, and isrealis from israel, and so on.
