this book is very, very interesting. it chronicles the life of badruddin khan-- a pakistani born gay muslim. the book is full of many of the things queer muslims worldwide face; tragic isolation we create ourselves from our families, marriages we tackle to make the family happy, never-ending fact-hiding about our sexualities, et cetera.
but it also gives the reader some hope. aside from the countless love affairs, there is a happy ending to the story. but we won't ruin it for you.
