things i'm grateful for:

ok... so i told a blogger friend to post something positive about his life everyday. and in that i wanted to take my own advise. i want to say the things i'm grateful for... everytime i make a new edition. i'm sure i will be forgetting sometimes. but i will try... so here goes:

i'm grateful for the fact that i have a family who are safe in the world. i'm specifically grateful for this because i have somali friends who have families in somalia and are facing dangers of all kinds all the time. i know of somalis who are still looking for their loved ones... because they got separated during the civil war. so, i'm grateful to know where my family is. that they are safe. that we have the opportunity to see each other.
